Glory Group Development (GGD) was the general contractor for Reconstruction of a Karshi State University academic building. The client is Qarshi davlat universiteti. Location: Karshi. The total floor area is 5,100 m². Work started in June 2023 and was completed in July 2024; the project took 14 months. As part of the project, GGD carried out: Survey of load-bearing structures, Strengthening of foundations and floor slabs, Roof replacement, Facade insulation and finishing, Replacement of heating and water supply, New ventilation for lecture rooms, Replacement of wiring and lighting, Fire alarm and public address, Finishing of lecture rooms, corridors and restrooms.

The task

To reconstruct the Karshi State University academic building of 5,100 m²: renew structures, engineering systems and finishes while keeping the building itself. Classes in neighbouring buildings continued, so work was done in stages with noise limited during teaching hours.

The result

Reconstruction of the 5,100 m² building was completed in 14 months, and the building was handed to the university in July 2024. It received a new roof, insulated facades and renewed utility networks. Lecture rooms and study rooms were placed in the building for the start of the academic year.
